TORONTO, Ont. (February 16th, 2019) – The Queen's Men's Basketball Team (12-11) fell to the No.3 Ryerson Rams (21-2) by a score of 81 to 77 on Saturday Night at Coca-Cola Court.
GAME FLOW
The Gaels got off to a terrific start against a formidable Rams team, opening the game off on a 10-0 run. Although the Rams responded as the quarter went on, the momentum of the early quarter run led the Gaels to a 23-19 lead at the end of the first quarter.
The Gaels held strong against the Rams in the 2
ndquarter, preserving a four-point lead which they took to the half at 34-30. Leading the way for the Gaels in the first half was
Jaz Bains with 9 points and 4 rebounds.
The Gaels did well to preserve their advantage in the third quarter, surrendering only a single point of their lead and taking a 58-55 margin to the 4
th. Unfortunately for the Gaels, it was a different story in the final quarter.

th, the Rams proved why they're one of the very best teams in USports, taking the final frame 26-19 and securing their 21
stwin of the season by a score of 81 to 77. Neither team was very efficient shooting the ball over the course of the matchup, but the Rams' ability to score points in the paint and secure timely rebounds eventually led to the Gaels' downfall.
Leading the way for the Gaels in the tight loss was
Jaz Bains who scored 29 points, while
Tanner Graham added 17 points and 10 rebounds of his own. The Rams' leading scorer was Myles Charvis with 19 points.
