Gaels lose tough contest against No.1 Carleton

KINGSTON, Ont. (November 8, 2019) The Queen's Gaels (3-2) fell in a tough loss the No. 1 Carleton Ravens (3-0) after an intense four quarters of play. 

GAME FLOW

After the Ravens opened the game on a 4-0 run, Harry Range responded scoring two points off of a solo drive. Despite the Ravens efforts to pull away early Range continue to showcase his dominant offensive game scoring back-to-back baskets to bring the Gaels within six of the Ravens with the score at 15-9. The Ravens answered back and closed out the first quarter with a score of 25-16 in favour of Carleton. 

Queen's continued to battle hard against Carleton, however, the Ravens offence was able to increase their lead. After jumping out to a 40-22 lead,  Cole Syllas hit a three-pointer to bring the Gaels to within 15 points and the Gaels trailed 45-31 heading into halftime down only 14. 

Despite the best efforts from Quinto Gray who finished the game with a team-high 22 points. The Ravens continued to keep the Gaels at bay leading 73-57 at the end of the third quarter. Carleton pulled away in the fourth quarter and closed out the game defeating Queen's 100-76.
