Montreal, Que. (November 2, 2019) - The Queen's Gaels fell 7-4 to McGill on the road in Montreal on Saturday night.
McGill's offense found its groove early in the first period and didn't let go from there. McGill opened the game with three unanswered goal in the first period until
Graeme Brown got one back for Queen's. McGill responded shortly after with their fourth goal of the night to take a commanding 4-1 lead, but the Gaels cut the deficit to down to 4-2 as
Mason Kohn found the back of the net to close the first period.
In the second period, both teams executed well on the power play as Michael Cramarossa and Guillaume Gauthier scored for McGill and
Luke Edwards got one back for Queen's with all goals being scored on the power play. Gauthier's goal pushed McGill's lead to 6-3 and ended Gaels goaltender's
Luke Richardson night after he allowed all six goals on 25 shots. Gaels netminder
Alexander Horawski made his season debut for Queen's coming on in a relief effort for Richardson.
Horwaski made 12 saves, but allowed a power play to Keanu Yamamoto as McGill's lead grew to 7-3 early in the third period. Kohn would scored his second goal of the match late in the final frame as Queen's fell short 7-4 against McGill.
