KINGSTON, Ont. (November 1st, 2019) - The Queen's Gaels (4-4-0) fell to the No.3 Carleton Ravens (8-1-0) 3-1 in Ottawa on Friday night.
GAME FLOW
Following an 8-1 victory at home over Nipissing last Saturday, the Gaels were in for a tough test against the first place Ravens team.
Carleton jumped out to an early lead midway through the first period as Alexandre Boivin found the back of the goal giving the Ravens a 1-0 lead. Cole Carter added a second goal for Carleton on the power play as the Gaels trailed 2-0 heading into the first intermission.
The Gaels opened the second period on the attack, knocking the Ravens lead down to just one as
Josh Curtis scored four minutes into the period on a play assisted by
Mason Kohn and
Nevin Guy.
The Gaels would tie things up just a few minutes later as
Graeme Brown and
Josh Curtis combined to level the score. Just two minutes later, Brogan O'Brien scored the eventual game winner as Queen's fell 3-2 against Carleton.
