OSHAWA, Ont. (October 9th, 2019) - The No.9 Queen's Gaels (1-2-0) first matchup of the season down the 401 against the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks (1-2-0) ended in a 3-2 loss for the Tricolour.

GAME FLOW
The first period of play saw the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks score the game's first goal. After 20 minutes, the Gaels were down 1-0 but had the heavy advantage 13-6 in shots heading into the game's first intermission.
Early in the second it was former Prince George Cougar
Josh Curtis scoring his first career U SPORTS goal tying the game at a 1-1 score, which would hold up heading into the final period.
The third period saw more goals scored in the final 20 minutes of the game than throughout the first two periods. The Ridgebacks would find the back of the net followed by
Matthew Hotchkiss giving the Gaels a chance to take their first lead of the game late in the third after the tally evened the score at 2-2. With 1:25 left in the game, Ontario Tech prevented a Queen's late game comeback as they scored the game winner with just 1:25 left sending the Gaels back to Kingston with a loss.
