Sudbury, ON (October 5th, 2019)- The Queens Gaels were defeated 4-1 against the Laurentian Voyageurs on Saturday afternoon.
Game Flow
The Queens Men's hockey team traveled to Sudbury to face the Laurentian Voyageurs on their Homecoming weekend.
The first period was hectic as both teams traded great chances but neither the Gaels or Voyageurs managed to score. Four minutes into the second period, Haydn Hopkins got Laurentian on the scoreboard on a play assisted by Zach Wilkie and Russell Nowry.
Graeme Brown quickly responded on the powerplay to level the score for the Gaels 1-1. The tie, however, wouldn't last as Ben Morris scored a quick goal early in the third period give the Voyageurs the lead.

Brett Gibson called a timeout in the last moments of the third, pulling the Gaels goalie
Luke Richardson, in the hopes of scoring two quick goals to tie the game.
Laurentian took advantage of the Gaels empty net, as Luke McCaw scored in the final seconds of the game leading the Voyageurs to a 4-1 victory over Queens.
