Gaels lose close game against the Laurentian Voyageurs

SUDBURY, Ont. (October 26, 2019) - The Queen's Gaels (1-1) play a tough game against the Laurentian Voyageurs (2-0) but suffer their first loss of the season with a final score of 86-82. 

GAME FLOW 
Queens and Laurentian both came out of the gate strong but with the Gaels holding a small lead until the second quarter.

Queens, who shot 43.2% (31-74), fell late in the first quarter by a few points and this trend followed through for the rest of the game. Cole Syllas and Quinton Gray both led the Gaels with 31 points with that great offensive effort combining for 62 points. Despite this valiant offensive effort by the Gaels the Voyageurs, led by Kadre Gray's 49 pints, pulled off the 86-82 victory. 

Despite trading points with the hosts throughout the first and second quarter, the Gaels were able to keep the deficit to less than double digits but were never able to close the gap. Syllas and Henry Range both aided the defensive push with a collective 13 defensive rebounds but were not able to shutdown Laurentian's strong offense.
