Gaels conclude undefeated regular season with 62-7 homecoming win over Trent

| By:
KINGSTON, Ont. (October 19, 2019) The Queen's Gaels (6-0) finished off their OUA regular season with a 62-7 win over Trent (2-4) to stay undefeated on the season. The Gaels will now advance to the OUA playoffs where they will receive a bye for the opening round.

THINK PINK GAME FLOW
The Gaels scored early and often in front of a great homecoming crowd at Nixon Field. First Connor Jaques was able to finish off a try after a series of scrums got the Gaels in close at just the three-minute mark.

After Stefan Zuliani put down the second of the game for the Gaels, James Macdonald finished off a series of strong passes and a big run to put the Gaels up 19-0 after the conversion from Dylan Young.

Cully Quirke and Trevor Helgason each scored to bring the Gaels halftime advantage to 29-0.

In the second half, the Gaels quickly extended their lead in the opening 10 minutes with tries from Quirke and Joshua Engelbrecht before the visiting team was able to get on the board with their own try and conversion.

In the end, the Gaels proved to be too much and the match finished with a 62-7 win for the Gaels.
