GAME FLOW
Much like their meeting with the Stingers last weekend, the Gaels jumped out to an early 2-0 lead sparked by Jared Bethune. He notched his third goal of the season as he kick-started the Gaels' offence just 1:52 into the game.

A minute later, Slater Doggett found the net once again. The goal brought his season total to 18, tying his career-high that he set last season. Doggett has now scored in six of his last seven games as he climbs the OUA goal rankings.

Despite the two-goal advantage heading into the first intermission, the Gaels were outshot in the period 16-4. Justin Fazio made all 16 saves in an impressive opening frame.

The Stingers were the first to strike in the second as Bradley Lalonde sent a quick shot on net from the point. The puck managed to find its way past Fazio and cut the Gaels lead in half.

However, just 21 seconds later Slater Doggett would send a 2-on-1 pass to Alex Row who would make no mistake in restoring the Gaels lead back to two. After two periods the score would remain 3-1 in favour of Queen's.

The Gaels weren't able to hold on to that lead as the Stingers scored two in the third period much like their meeting last week. Charles-Eric Legare scored both of the Stingers' goals including a game-tying goal with 3:31 remaining to force the game into overtime.

In overtime, both teams traded chances but it was Jared Bethune who had the strongest opportunity of them all. With a defender draped on him Bethune had a partial breakaway but wasn't able to convert, as Concordia's Marc-Antoine Turcotte was there to shut the door.

GAELS TAKE IT IN THE SHOOTOUT
Both the Stingers and Gaels were successful in their first shootout attempts as Philippe Pelletier-Leblanc and Slater Doggett found the back of the net. Justin Fazio then stopped Charles-Eric Legare who had the hot hand all night, but Spencer Abraham wasn't able to convert on his opportunity.

Fazio prevented Philippe Sanche from finding the net, allowing Francesco Vilardi snapped one past Turcotte to win a wild one for the Gaels.
