KINGSTON, Ont. (October 28, 2018) - The Queen's Gaels (1-1) met the Western Mustangs (2-0) to conclude the opening weekend for Gaels women's volleyball. After taking two of the first three sets, the Mustangs were able to come back to take a 3-2 win over Queen's.
GAME FLOW
The Gaels were able to jump out in front taking the opening set 25-18 over Western but couldn't force a 2-0 hole for the visitors after the Mustangs came through with a 26-24 second set win.
Queen's once again looked in control after a 25-13 third set win, but the Mustangs were able to edge out another close set in the fourth 25-23.
In the fifth and final set, it was Western again just staying in front of Queen's and closing out the 15-13 final set victory.
The Gaels had strong days from 
Caroline Livingston (15 kills, 13 digs, five aces, three blocks) and 
Julia Wiercigroch (12 kills, seven digs) while the Mustangs had a solid showing from Kelsey Veltman who had 17 kills, four blocks and three aces.
