Queen's and Western go the distance as Gaels give head coach de Groot first OUA victory 3-2

KINGSTON, Ont. (October 28, 2018) - The Queen's Gaels (1-1) picked up their first win of the season with a 3-2 victory over the visiting Western Mustangs (1-1). The win also marks the first OUA regular-season victory for head coach Gabriel de Groot.

GAME FLOW

The Gaels broke out to an early 7-4 lead but the Mustangs chipped away and eventually went in front 13-11. With the fifth set tied up at 15-15, the Gaels picked up a kill from Zac Hutcheson and after a strong Hutcheson serve Dylan Hunt put down a rocket off a bad serve reception to seal the victory.
