SUDBURY, Ont. (Saturday, October 13, 2018) - The Queen's Gaels (7-5-1) take the victory with a 1-0 win on the road against the Laurentian Voyageurs (4-8-1).

GAME FLOW
The Gaels played an intense first half, fighting for ball control and maintaining a high intensity offensive game. In the 15th minute of the first half, the Gaels were awarded a penalty kick which was ultimately unsuccessful. The Tricolour continued to play a strong offensive game with four shots on goal in the first half. Queen's defence held Laurentian from taking a lead with the help of
Alex Jones (Comox, B.C.) making 5 saves. The Gaels and Voyageurs completed the first half in a scoreless draw.

The second half got much more aggressive with three yellow cards and a red card for the Laurentian Voyagers. The Gaels held their own throughout the game, attempting 5 more shots on goal, all saved by Laurentian goalkeeper Connor Vande Weghe. However, in the 85th minute of the game,
Junior Kwame Addai (Calgary, Alta.) found the back of the Laurentian goal to take the lead for the Gaels. With just 5 minutes remaining on the clock the Voyageurs could not make up the difference and Queen's successfully took the win at the end of the 90 minutes.
