In her fifth and final season with the Gaels, Callender earned OUA MVP and first team all-star honours after a standout performance for Queen's this season to go along with her All-Canadian selection. A central midfielder for most of her Queen's career, coach Dave McDowell moved Callender up to striker this season – a tactical change that paid off for the Gaels attack who notched 49 goals as a collective.

Callender championed the OUA with 13 goals in 16 games during the regular season as a go-to target for Queen's up front. A decorated veteran, Callender represented Team Canada at the 2017 Summer Universiade in Taipei City, Chinese Taipei. The Ottawa native clocked 90 minutes in the starting lineup for matches against Ireland, Mexico and Brazil. This is the first time Callender has been honoured as an All-Canadian.
