TORONTO (October 21, 2017) - The Queen's Gaels (6-7-3) dropped a 2-1 decision to the Toronto Varsity Blues (10-2-4) on Saturday night in Toronto at Varsity Stadium. The Gaels will now play Wednesday night at either Ryerson or UOIT depending on Sunday's outcomes.

It took just seven minutes for the home Varsity Blues to get on the board as Lukas MacNaughton beat starting Gaels keeper
Alex Jones to open the scoring on an unassisted goal.
Toronto struck again just before half as Nirun Sivananthan set up Jack Wadden in the 44th minute.Â
At the half the Varsity Blues held a 2-0 lead on Queen's.

Jacob Schroeter (Ottawa) was on his game late in the match as he finished a strike for his team leading 12th goal of the season. The goal came in the 83rd minute to cut the deficit to just one goal.
Queen's was not able to find an equalizer and suffered a 2-1 defeat.
