KINGSTON, Ont- (October 14 2017) The undefeated Gaels (7-0) to toppled the Varsity Blues (1-6) in a homecoming classic with a 78-0 victory.
GAME FLOW:
The undefeated Gaels wanted to put on a show for the homecoming crowd as they tried to remain without a loss this season. The first try was scored within the first minute, after a Toronto fumbled pass, Johnathan Ezer (Toronto) drove it in the end zone for the first try. Tries in the first were scored by
Evan Underwood (Toronto),
Gilad Miller (Toronto),
Patrick Lynott (Kingston, Ont.) and
Dylan Young (Toronto).
The Gaels were just too fast and agile for the Varsity Blues, consistently beating their defence, and managing their way into the Toronto zone. The Varsity Blues had ample opportunity to score, but the Gaels' tackling kept Toronto behind their end zone.
The score at the half was 47-0
The second half started strong,
Stephen Lockhart (Oakville, Ont.)took one in for a try early. Multiple tries in the second were also scored by
Davin Killy (Bowen Island, B.C.), and
Dylan Young.Â
The Gaels remain undefeated, with a final score of 78-0.
