No. 6 Rams Defeat No. 5 Gaels 4-0

TORONTO, Ont. (January 27, 2017) – The No. 5 Queen's Gaels (16-5-2) were defeated by the No. 6 Ryerson Rams (18-4-1) 4-0 Friday evening in Toronto.
 
GAMEFLOW
Ryerson held the momentum throughout the entire contest. In the first period, the Rams scored two goals to take a 2-0 lead. Aaron Armstrong scored for the Rams, with Daniel Clairmont and Mitchell Theoret assisting. Before the end of the period, Armstrong scored his second goal of the period, with Josh Sterk assisting. The second period proved to be scoreless.

In the third period, the Rams continued the attack, extending their lead to 4-0. Josh Sterk scored for the Rams with Aaron Dutra and Michael Fine assisting. Matt Mistele scored an empty net goal to close the period, with Matt Nosella and Josh Sterk assisting. This allowed the Rams to take a 4-0 final.

Queen's was without four of their key players (Ming, Abraham, Bailie and Doggett) as they are at the World Universiade games.
