Queen's earns 3-2 comeback win at Brock

ST. CATHERINES, Ont. (November 4, 2016) - The Gaels (4-0-3-0) erased a two goal deficit Friday night to beat the Brock Badgers (2-1-3-1) 3-2 on the road.

GAME FLOW
After 20 minutes, Brock had taken the lead on an unassisted tally from Cara Sayles midway through the period, despite Queen's out-shooting their opponents 12-10.

Sayles popped her second of the game by Gaels goalie Claire Warren (Halifax, N.S.) less than a minute into the second, but from that point on, it was all Queen's. Following the Gaels third straight power-play, Nadia Larocca (Mississauga, Ont.) finally solved Badgers goalie Jensen Murphy to cut Brock's lead in two midway through the second period. With five minutes left in the frame, it was Larocca again lighting the lamp and tying the game at 2-2. Kaylie Dennis (London, Ont.) had assists on both Larocca markers, with the other helpers going to Kyla Crouse (Mont Brydges, Ont.) on the first and Micaela Smith (Cobourg, Ont.) on the second.

With the game square heading into the final frame, Queen's wasted no time getting on the board for their third unanswered goal. Danelle Bishoff (Calgary, Alta.) scored the game-winner 45 seconds into the period. Warren made 11 of her 29 stops in the third to preserve the Gaels 3-2 win.
