TROIS-RIVIERES,QUE. - The No. 10 Queen's Gaels (9-3-1) were defeated 5-2 to UQTR (8-4-1) on Friday night on the road to the Patriotes in OUA men`s hockey action.
 
GAME FLOW
In the first period, UQTR scored three consecutive goals to take a 3-0 lead by the end of the period. Pierre-Oliver Morin picked up UQTR's first two goals. On the first goal, Morin scored in the 12th minute, with Charles-David Beaudoin and Marc-Oliver Mimar assisting. Three minutes later, Morin scored his second goal of the period. Guillaume Asselin and Tommy Giroux picked up the assists. Before the end of the period, Tommy Giroux scored for UQTR, extending the lead to 3-0. Pierre-Oliver Morin assisted.
 
In the second period, the Gaels fought back to cut UQTR's lead to 3-2. Four seconds into the period, Slater Doggett (Oakville, Ont.) scored for the Gaels. Six minutes later, Eric Ming (Williamstown, Ont.) scored with Spencer Abraham (Campbellville, Ont.) and Doggett assisting. This put the game at 3-2 by the end of the second.
 
In the third period, UQTR extended their lead over the Gaels. Three minutes in, Charles-David Beaudoin scored on the power-play. Martin Lefebvre and Guillaume Asselin assisted. In the last minute of the game, Guillaue Asselin scored on an empty net with Mathieu Lemay assisting on the play. This gave UQTR a 5-2 final over the Gaels.
