TORONTO (January 16, 2016) - The Queen's Gaels men's basketball (6-3) team dropped their second game in as many nights, falling
97-81 to the CIS No.5 ranked Ryerson Rams (6-1) on Saturday evening at the Mattamy Athletic Centre.

Ryall Stroud (Toronto) tallied a team-best 25 points, shooting a formidable 9-of-15 from the field and 7-of-8 from the free-throw line. Stroud added five rebounds and three assists, while
Sukhpreet Singh (Toronto) continued his strong play in the regular season, dropping 24 points while working at a 50% offensive efficiency in a losing cause for the Gaels.
Aaron Best netted a game-high 28 points on the evening, draining 10 of his 15 attempts and adding seven rebounds and two assists in the victory.
The Rams feasted off the Gaels 15 turnovers, sinking 17 points off giveaways en route to their sixth victory of the regular season. The hosts' bench also outscored the visitors by a count of 36-11, which included a 16-point performance from Kadeem Green.
The Gaels won the rebound battle, pulling down 48 boards compared to 41 by the Rams. It was all for not, however, as Ryerson flexed its perimeter shooting muscle, dropping 14-of-26 jumpers from beyond the arc, a three-point shooting efficiency of 53.8%, to take first-place atop the OUA East division. Queen's sits second in the East due to Ryerson's two games in hand.
