The Gaels grabbed the early lead in the first getting up 6-2 before Toronto could warm up. It was a sloppy set for both teams with kill percentages of -0.022 for Toronto and 0.045 for the Gaels as they traded points throughout the set. Queen's took back their advantage at the technical timeout and held onto it to win the set 25-21.

The Blues managed to catch up and pull away to grab a 16-11 lead at the technical timeout. The Gaels inched forwards trying to catch Toronto but the Blues tightened up their offense and easily took the set 25-17.

The teams were tied 1-1 heading into the third frame with Queen's getting the early lead for the third set in a row. Toronto caught them nine points in and took off from there leading by six points at the technical timeout and taking the set 25-13 to go 2-1.

Hitting a seven point run the Blues put the Gaels behind by a 16-11 deficit at the technical timeout. The Gaels couldn't catch the Blues who grabbed a third set win of 25-19 to win the match 3-1.
