WINDSOR, Ont. (January 30, 2015) – The Queen's Gaels (8-5) lost 89-81 against the No.1 Windsor Lancers (11-1) Friday night at the St. Denis Centre in Windsor in a rematch between last year's OUA Championship participants. 
Despite their loss, 
Jenny Wright (Kingston, Ont.) scored a game high 21 points for the Gaels followed by 
Liz Boag (Kingston, Ont.) who put up 17 points and 
Andrea Priamo (Guelph, Ont.) who chipped in with 14 and added eight rebounds. The Lancers were led by Korissa Williams with 20 points and Jocelyn LaRocque with 18 points. 
It was a close game throughout with 16 lead changes between last year's OUA gold and silver medalists. The Gaels dropped the first basket to the Lancers but dominated the rest of the first quarter outscoring Windsor 24-20. In the second quarter the Lancers picked up their defence and kept the Gaels to 13 points while they added 17 to head to the locker room with a tie score of 37-37 going into the second half. 
It was a tight third quarter with the Gaels narrowly outcompeting the Lancers and putting them ahead 61-60 for the final frame of play. The Lancers kicked it into high gear in the last quarter, grabbing their biggest lead of the game from which the Gaels couldn't recover leaving the final score at 89-81. 
The Gaels will be in London, Ontario tomorrow to take on the Western Mustangs at 6:00 pm.
