Queen's tops Brock 5-1 in Final Preseason Game

PETERBOROUGH, Ont. (October 4, 2014) - Courtenay Jacklin (Regina) and Shawna Griffin (Redwood Meadows, Alta.) led the Gaels offensively as Queen's defeated the Brock Badgers 5-1 in the final game of the preseason.

The Gaels dominated play, outshooting the Badgers 36-18 in the game. Jacklin and Griffin tallied three and two points respectively, while Taryn Pilon (Peterborough, Ont.) and Clare McKellar (London, Ont.) each added a goal.

Goaltender Stephanie Pascal (Sudbury, Ont.) started in net for the Gaels, registering seventeen saves over three periods of play.

The Gaels open the 2014-2015 regular season next Saturday at home against the Nipissing Lakers. Puck drop is scheduled for 2:30pm at the Memorial Centre.
