Hamilton, New York (October 4, 2014) - The men's hockey team lost their third consecutive game of the preseason Saturday night after falling 7-1 to Colgate University in their first of two games in New York state.
Seven different players were able to light the lamp for Colgate as Queen's found themselves trailing 7-0 early in the final period of play. The Gaels lone tally came on a unassisted shorthanded effort from rookie Eric Ming (Williamstown, Ont.). Final shots for the game totalled 44-20 in favour of Colgate.
Goaltender Kevin Bailie (Belleville, Ont.) started in net for Queen's, making all 37 saves over the outing. Â
The Gaels are set to travel to Potsdam, New York to take on Clarkson University for their final game of the preseason on Sunday afternoon.
