KINGSTON, Ont. (October 11, 2014) - The women's soccer team dominated play on Miklas-McCarney Field as they blanked the Ryerson Rams 4-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Jackie Tessier (Winnipeg), in her return from injury, opened the scoring in the eighth minute of the match. The Gaels doubled their lead in the 28th minute as Jessie de Boer (North Vancouver, B.C.) registered her eighth goal on a six game scoring streak.
Queen's secured the win late in the second half as Breanna Burton (Ottawa) buried two goals in five minutes to give the Gaels a commanding 4-0 lead. Keeper Madison Tyrell (White Rock, B.C.) started in net for the Gaels, collecting a seven save clean-sheet.
The Gaels (8-2-3) return to action on Sunday afternoon when they battle the Toronto Varsity Blues. The match is scheduled for 1pm on Miklas-McCarney Field.
