TORONTO, Ont. (October 10, 2014) - The Gaels (5-1) finished with a staggering 113-0 victory on the road against the Toronto Varsity Blues (0-6) this Friday evening.
The Gaels dominated straight from the kick off with
Lucas Rumball (Toronto) putting the first try on the board for Queen's. This opened a flood gate for the Gaels who continued to put down tries past the Toronto goal line, including a standout performance by rookie
Marc Levin (Vancouver) who took a high ball and broke away from the pack with a 70m run to score one of his three tries. At halftime the Gaels were leading the Varsity Blues 64-0.
David Worsley (Vancouver) finished the game with five conversions for the Gaels to go with a pair of tries.
The second half saw continued offensive attacks from the Gaels, putting a comeback out of reach for the Varsity Blues. By the final whistle, the Gaels had stretched their lead to a season's best 113-0 win, shutting out Toronto.
Catch the Gaels next Saturday when they go head-to-head with the Western Mustangs at home. Kick-off is scheduled for 1pm on Nixon Field.
