BOX SCORE WINDSOR (January 17, 2014) - After Queen's took a 2-1 lead, Windsor battled back to win in five sets, 25-15, 21-25, 19-25, 25-17, and 15-8.
The Lancers took advantage of some sloppy Queen's play early, winning the first set while committing just three attacking errors to the Gaels 10. The Gaels came back to lead 2-1, but Windsor closed out the match with more efficient play, including a fifth set in which they committed zero attacking errors.
Captain
Katie Hagarty (Aurora, Ont.) led Queen's offensively, with 13 kills, and defensively, with a game-high 22 digs.
Kelsey Bishop (North Vancouver) also contributed 12 kills, while
Niki Slikboer (Seagrave, Ont.) had 10 kills and a game-high five blocks out of the middle.
The Lancers Shannon Dean put up a game-high 17 kills to go with 3.5 blocks.
The Gaels have now lost two in a row, and look to get back in the win column on the road against Western on Saturday at 6pm.
