Gaels trounce Paladins in 30-0 victory, extend shutout streak to three games

KINGSTON, Ont. (September 21, 2013) - The Gaels men's rugby team (3-0) faced off against the RMC Paladins in an afternoon game at RMC.

Andrew Carr (King City, Ont.) put the first points on the board for the Gaels with a penalty goal, James Dent (Toronto) contributed a try to the Gaels scoring in the first half. Also scoring in the first half for the Gaels was Fraser Bruce with a try and Carr with a successful conversion.

The Gaels continued their scoring run in the second half with tries from Brenden McGovern (Ottawa), Teddy Taggert (Ottawa)and Jeffrey MacDonald (Toronto). The RMC Paladins were unable to the break through the Gaels well organized defense, resulting in the 30-0 shutout for the Queen's.

Queen's has now outscored their opponents by a 140-0 margin in their three games combined this season.

The Gaels are on the road next weekend to take on Western on Saturday, September 28 at 7pm.
