BOX SCORE THUNDER BAY (November 15, 2013) - The Gaels captured their second consecutive straight set victory, beating the Lakehead Thunderwolves 25-22, 25-19, and 25-13 on Friday night in Thunder Bay.
Kelsey Bishop (North Vancouver) led all players with 12 kills in the match, while also recording a game-high three solo-blocks to go with six digs.
Brett Hagarty (Aurora, Ont.) continued her outstanding defensive play with a team-high 10 digs.
Although the Thunderwolves struggled to keep up with the Gaels offensively, Breanne Hilhorst and Jorie Daymond stood out on defence with 11 and 10 digs, respectively.
Picking up the win in their only game this weekend, the Gaels earn a weeks rest. They're back on the road next Friday at 6pm against Ryerson and Saturday at 8pm against Toronto.
