KINGSTON, Ont. - The Queen's Gaels women's hockey team opened their 2012-13 season with a 3-1 win over the Concordia Stingers at the Cataraqui Community Centre, Sunday.

Courtenay Jacklin all scored for the Gaels, whose shutout bid was denied by a Stinger goal with 2:34 left.
The Gaels return to action next weekend as they host the Guelph Gryphons and McGill Martlets in a triangular series. The Gaels will face off against the Gryphons on Friday, Sept. 21 at 4:30 and the Martlets on Sunday, Sept. 23 at 2:30. The Gryphons and Martlets will play each other on Saturday afternoon at 2:30. All games will be held at the Invista Centre on Gardiners Road.
