BOX SCORE KINGSTON, Ont. – The Queens Gaels women's volleyball team's disciplined play and offensive consistency allowed them to sweep the visiting Windsor Lancers in straight sets, 3-0 (25-14, 25-20, 25-17) in OUA play at the ARC Main Gym, Saturday.
The Gaels, who are 6-2 in OUA play, rode well-placed attacks, strong blocking and Windsor errors to a dominating victory. Fifth-year outside hitter Coleen Ogilvie (Calgary, Alta.) was named the player of the game, as she recorded 10 kills and a game-high four service aces.
In the first set the Gaels were overpowering upfront, with right side
Kelsey Bishop (North Vancouver, B.C.), outside hitter
Alisha Rong (Markham, Ont.), and middle
Katie Hagarty (Aurora, Ont.) generating powerful attacks and combining for three blocks, 24 kills and 18 digs in the entire match. Windsor committed many errors that prevented them from mustering a comeback— eight total in the first set. The Gaels were disciplined, committing only five first set errors. A

Much of the third set was deadlocked, with four lead changes, that eventually saw Queen's pull ahead by three, 16-13, at the technical time out. Ogilvie scored three straight pointsin the final set to give the Gaels some momentum. An Ogilvie kill followed by a
