BOX SCORE KINGSTON, Ont. – The Queens Gaels women's volleyball team (2-1) were triumphant over the Brock Badgers (1-3) 3-1 (27-25, 25-16, 23-25, 25-22) at Bob Davis Gymnasium in St. Catharines, Ont., on Sunday.
 
The first set went to extra points and the Gaels won 27-25, recording 15 kills. In the second set the Gaels cruised to a comfortable 9 point set victory, 25-16. The Badgers battled back to force a fourth set, winning marginally 25-23 in the third. Queens wrapped things up in the fourth, recording 10 kills and a 25-22 set victory.
 
Outsider-hitter 
Colleen Ogilvie (Calgary, Alta.) and middle blocker Kate Neville (Cambridge, Ont.) were dominant along the front line with 11 and 10 kills respectively. Setter 
Anna Pedjase (Waterloo, Ont.) lead the way in assists for the Gaels recording 26.
Badgers setter Lauren Stirling (Whibty, Ont.) was the game leader in assist tallying 37.
 
With the win, the Gaels improve to 2-1 in regular-season play. Gaels women's volleyball is next in action on Saturday, November 3 when they host the Ryerson Rams at the ARC Main Gym at noon.
