Ottawa tops Queen's 2-0 in exhibition

| By:
KINGSTON, Ont. (September 3, 2011) – The Queen's Gaels were shut out 2-0 at home to the Ottawa Gee Gees in an exhibition match at Tindall Field Saturday.

Hugo Delmas and Joe Philipps scored for the Gee Gees in the win. Queen's midfielder Jordan Brooks of Angus, Ont. was awarded a penalty kick but could not convert to get the Gaels back in the match.

Last week the Gaels travelled to Cornell for an exhibition match and were able to secure a 0-0 draw against the Big Red. The Gaels played a strong defensive system as they stalled the Cornell offence.

The Gaels' regular season campaign begins September 7 as they visit the Carleton Ravens.
