KINGSTON, Ont. (September 29, 2011) - The Queen's field hockey team is looking forward to their first and only home weekend of the season (Oct. 1st and 2nd).
After continued improvement over the course of last weekend's games (losing 9-2 to Guelph, 2-1 to York, and tieing 1-1 against Western), the team heads into the upcoming weekend on a very positive front. One notable performance from last weekend was rookie Lindsay Bjornson of Surrey, B.C., who scored three of the Gaels four goals.
Game times for the Gaels:
Queen's vs. U of T Saturday October 1st at 9:30am
Queen's vs. Waterloo Saturday October 1st at 1:00pm
Queen's vs. McGill Sunday October 2nd at 2:45pm.
It is also the Gaels' second annual Parents Weekend, in recognition of the invaluable support provided by parents of the Queen's Field Hockey Team.
