Becky Billings of Ottawa had 10 points and 13 digs to lead the Queen's Gaels (2-1) to a straight sets victory over the Windsor Lancers (0-4). Set scores were 25-20; 25-12; 25-21.
The Gaels controlled this game from the outset with strong passing on offence and good defence which forced Windsor into errors. The Gaels were in tough against Windsor in the first and third sets, but it was a dominant second set which put the host Lancers in a difficult position from which they couldn't come back.
Billings led all scorers in the game for the Gaels with 10 points and had a game high 13 digs.
Katie Neville of Cambridge, Ont. was the most efficient Gael on the court with six kills on 11 attacks.
Anna Pedjase of Waterloo, Ont. controlled the Gaels passing game with a game high 24 assists.
The Gaels will look to win their third game in a row when they take on the Westen Mustangs on November 5. Start time is scheduled for 6:00 pm in London.
