Mel Dodd-Moher of Stittsville, Ont. made 30 stops in regulation but Queen's couldn't solve the Toronto defence as they dropped an OUA women's hockey game 1-0 in a shootout
Amanda Ricker of Kanata, Ont., and Brittany Kirby of Vancouver scored the only goals in the shootout while Nicole Kesteris of Aurora, Ont., made both stops to win in the shootout.
Kelsey Thomson of Martintown, Ont., and
Morgan McHaffie of Guelph, Ont., both failed to convert on their chances in the shootout.
Kesteris made 32 stops to record the shutout for Toronto.
Queen's record slips to 4-3-2 having tallied 10 points good for fifth place in the OUA. They are just two points behind Guelph, Brock and Windsor for second place while Laurier leads the league with 16 points.
The Gaels will be back in action on Sunday (Nov. 7) as they take on the York University Lions. Puck drop is set for 2:00 pm.
