SUDBURY, Ont. (October 10, 2009) – Keeper, Chantel Marson of London Ont., recorded a shutout to help the Queen's Gaels extend their winning streak to nine games in a 2-0 victory over the Laurentian Voyageurs on Saturday afternoon.
The Gaels showed their dominance from the start of the game, capturing their first goal early in the first half. The tie breaking goal was scored by Queen's forward Renee MacLellan of Kingston Ont.

An early goal by Chantal McFetridge of Kelowna BC in the second half gave Queen's a two goal lead. The second half continued with tough defense and a strong effort in net by Marson.

The win moves the Gaels to a 10-1-1 record and is a single point behind the Ottawa Gee Gees for first place in the OUA east division.
