Kingston, Ont. (September 20, 2008) - The Gaels offensive pressure and goaltending prowess were the keys to victory as the Queen's defeated the number No. 5 nationally ranked Ottawa Gee Gees 2-0.

Queen's first goal came in the 52nd minute on a free kick by Katie Dalziel of Stoney Creek, Ont. who put the ball up and over the line of defenders sneaking it under the cross bar. The Gaels then went up 2-0 on a rebound goal in the 67th minute by Renee MacLellan of Kingston, Ont.

Katie McKenna of Oakville, Ont. pitched the shutout for Queen's making several key saves including one on Elise Desjardins of Cumberland, Ont. Desjardins had a clear shot on net with no Queen's defenders around and McKenna stretched out knocking the ball out of play.
