Queen's still perfect against RMC

Kingston, Ont. (September 17, 2008) – Mike Arnold of London, Ont. was the lone scorer helping the Gaels to a 1-0 win over Royal Military College (RMC) Wednesday evening at Richardson Stadium.

Arnold's goal which came in the 61st minute was fired from just beyond the key line, beating RMC tender Jeremy Whalen of Halifax, N.S. RMC battled hard to stay in the contest and in the final seconds forced the Gaels back into their own goal crease and narrowly missed tying the game.

With the victory the Gaels remain undefeated against RMC in regular season play since the Paladins joined the OUA men's soccer in 2004. Queen's now moves to a perfect 9-0-0 record against their Kingston rivals.

Sean Martin-Courtright of Calgary, Alta., was the net-minder recording his first shutout of the season.

Queen's evens their record to 2-2-1 and will be home Saturday and Sunday to face Nipissing University and Laurentian respectively. Both games are scheduled for a 12:00pm start at Richardson Stadium.
