Michael Nishiyama of Edmonton, captured two gold medals at the Last Chance Challenge held at McGill University over the weekend. Nishiyama took individual gold in the men’s 600 metre, posting a time of one minute, 22.85 seconds which was a personal best. He then teamed up with Mike Arnold (London, Ont.), Scott Knieriem (Strahroy, Ont.), and Clay Patterson (Eligin, Ont.) to take gold in the men’s 4x800 metre relay with a time of 7:57.1.
