Sam Sabourin (Stittsville, Ont.) is the Queen's University Telus Male Athlete of the Week for the period ending September 16, 2012.

The third-year linebacker led the Gaels in their 18-11 win over the No. 5 Western Mustangs, with 12.5 tackles, including nine solo stops. The Physical & Education major also made two sacks as the Gaels held Western without an offensive touchdown for the second straight time. Sabourin is now second in the CIS in tackles, with 24.5 and his five tackles for loss are fourth in the country.
