Lawrance was the 2010-11 recipient of the Jenkins trophy as the top fourth or fifth year male Varsity Team athlete. The men's hockey team captain is a two-time Academic All-Canadian and was the OUA's nominee for the Randy Gregg award this year for best exhibiting outstanding achievement in hockey, academics and community involvement. During this career with the Gaels, Lawrance has scored 81 points in 104 games and was named the MVP of the Carr-Harris Cup in his first season.
