Gord Frenke of Oakville, Ont., became just the second athlete in school history to break the 35 second barrier in the 300m event at the CIS Track & Field Championships this past weekend. The fourth year civil engineering major ran a time of 34.96 seconds to finish eighth in the event. Frenke also earned two sixth place finishes as a member of the Gaels’ 4x200m and 4x400m relay teams, helping the team earn six of the nine points they finished with at the championships.
