Queen's Varsity Cycling Club hosted and competed in the first University Cup Mountain Bike Race since 2019 this past Saturday. Athletes completed two laps of an 8 km technical off road loop at the local community bike club venue, MTB Kingston. Racers did an amazing job through grueling muddy, wet and slippery conditions from the heavy rain fall the night before. The exciting mass start race began on a long road stretch, followed by a 180º through the MTB Kingston barn straight in to a technical pump track. The remainder of the course took racers through challenging single track containing wood and root features through the forest.
