Queen's Women's Hockey evened their Round 2 series with the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks with a 3-1 win in Oshawa, Ont. Friday night.
After the Ridgebacks opened the scoring early in the first period, the Gaels scored three unanswered goals for the two-goal victory, which forced a Game 3 in their series with Ontario Tech.
Taylor Eastwood (Commerce) evened the scoring midway through the first period before
Sophie Hudson (Chemical Engineering) gave the Gaels the lead late in the third period. Less than two minutes later,
Mikayla Cranney (Arts & Science) added an empty netter to seal the victory for Queen's.
Eastwood finished with a game-high two points after also recording an assist on Hudson's goal.
Taya Leonard (Kinesiology) and
Jada Wood (Arts & Science) also found the scoresheet with assists.
Emma Tennant (Mechanical Engineering) made 12 saves for Queen's in the victory.
