Queen's Men's Hockey jumped out to an early three-goal lead in their Friday night matchup against the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks in Oshawa, Ont., and despite the Ridgebacks responding with three goals of their own to eliminate the Gaels' lead, Queen's would find a late game-winner to take the game 4-3.
Sam Marburg (Arts & Science) played the hero for the Gaels, finding the back of the net with less than five minutes to play for the game-winner.
Earlier in the night,
Nolan Hutcheson (Health Studies) hit a career milestone with Queen's, scoring the 60th goal of his career to become the Gaels' second all-time leading scorer.
Sebbie Johnson (Arts & Science) and
Derek Hamilton (Arts & Science) also scored for Queen's while both Hutcheson and Hamilton recorded two point nights, with each adding an assist in the win.
Tanner Wickware (Graduate Studies) made 26 saves in the win for Queen's, while the Gaels finished with 32 shots on net.
With the victory, the Gaels' improved their record to 13-14-0. Queen's will close out their 2025-26 regular season tomorrow afternoon in North Bay, Ont., taking on the Nipissing Lakers Saturday at 4 PM.
