The Queen's Gaels Men's Basketball team earned a strong 100-82 victory over the Brock Badgers on Saturday, January 24, showcasing balanced scoring and steady control throughout the game.
The Gaels got off to an energetic start, putting up 35 points in the opening quarter to take a 35-29 lead. The Badgers pushed back in the second, keeping the game tight, but the Gaels held a narrow 55-54 advantage heading into halftime.
Coming out of the break, the Gaels created separation with consistent offensive execution and improved defensive pressure. In the third quarter, the Gaels outscored Brock to build a 79-68 lead and carried that momentum into the final frame. The Gaels maintained control in the final quarter, extending their lead and sealing a 100-82 victory.
Ollie Engen (Kinesiology) recorded 19 points for Queen's, while
Lucas Ponting (Commerce) also finished with 19 points and five three-pointers.
Jakub Dobiech (Arts) added 16 points, and
Noah Khaja (Arts) scored 11 points with three three-pointers.
The Gaels are back on the court Saturday, January 30, against the TMU Bold.
