Queen's Women's Soccer earned a point in the second half of their weekend road trip, playing to a 2-2 draw with the host Nipissing Lakers Sunday in North Bay, Ont.
Mattson Strickler (Concurrent Education) opened the scoring for the Gaels with a second goal of the weekend in just the second minute, while
Sam Caputo (Health Sciences) also scored for Queen's in the draw.
Echo Bourbonnais (Arts and Education) was strong in net for Queen's, making seven saves. The Gaels outshot the Lakers 11-9 in the fast paced game.
With the draw, Queen's Women's Soccer's record moved to 5-1-1 on the season, with the Gaels in a tie for second in the OUA East standings.
Queen's is back in action next weekend, on the road again, taking on the Trent Excalibur in Peterborough, Ont. on Sunday, Sept. 28 at 1 p.m.
