The Queen's Gaels Women's Basketball team continued their undefeated season with a thrilling 67-62 victory over the previously undefeated Carleton Ravens on Friday, November 7. The win improves the Gaels' record to 5-0, keeping them at the top of the standings as they showcase strong teamwork.
Leading the charge for Queen's was
Katrina Renon (Faculty of Arts & Science) with 15 points.
Haley Barbieri (Faculty of Arts & Science) added 13 points, including two three-pointers, while
Kiyara Letlow (Kinesiology) contributed 12 points, providing the Gaels with steady offensive support throughout the game.
The Gaels came out determined in the first quarter, taking a 19-15 lead and setting the tone for the matchup. In the second quarter, the Gaels maintained their momentum, outscoring the Ravens and taking a 38-31 lead into halftime. The Gaels extended their lead in the third quarter, finishing 53-45 and holding a solid advantage heading into the final period. Despite a late push from Carleton, the Gaels held on to secure the 67-62 victory, demonstrating resilience, focus, and composure under pressure.
