Unstoppable Gaels Run Away with 87–46 Victory Over Waterloo.

Queen's Women's Basketball lit up the ARC on Friday night, welcoming the Waterloo Warriors to Kingston for a high-energy showdown. The Gaels came out of the gate with confidence, setting a fast pace in the first quarter and asserting control on both ends of the floor. With balanced ball movement and a steady defensive presence, they edged ahead 16–13 after the opening ten minutes.

In the second quarter, Queen's turned up the intensity. The offense found another gear, pouring in 29 points by attacking the rim, hitting open shots, and capitalizing on Waterloo turnovers. Their defensive pressure disrupted the Warriors' rhythm and created fast-break opportunities, allowing the Gaels to enter halftime with a 19-point lead and full momentum for the second half.

The Gaels didn't let up after the break, dominating the third quarter and blowing the game wide open to take a commanding 72–36 lead heading into the fourth. Amy Hagman (Kinesiology) was on fire from deep, hitting 4-of-5 three-pointers and pulling down three boards for 14 points. Kiyara Letlow (Kinesiology) controlled the paint with 15 points, 11 rebounds, and three assists, while Mikayla McFarlane (Kinesiology) added 12 points to keep Waterloo on their heels.

Queen's maintained relentless defensive pressure and pushed the pace in transition, cruising to an 87–46 victory over the Warriors. With the win, the Gaels extend their undefeated streak to 8–0, proving they're a team capable of scoring at will while shutting down opponents on the other end.

Cheer on your Queen's Gaels Women's Basketball team tomorrow, November 22nd, as they face off against the Laurier Goldenhawks! Tip-off is at 4:00 PM in the ARC Main Gym 1. Don't miss the action as the Gaels aim to keep their perfect record alive!
