Liam Tanner scored two of Queen's Men's Hockey's handful of goals Friday night in the Gaels' 5-3 win over the visiting McGill Redbirds at Memorial Centre.
Queen's scored the first three goals of the game before the teams traded goals the rest of the way, leading to Queen's two-goal win.
Tanner (Kinesiology) scored the Gaels' second goal of the game and the ultimate winner, midway through the second period, while also adding an assist for a three-point night.
Nolan Hutcheson (Health Studies),
Dharan Cap (Applied Science), and Will Bouwer (Arts & Science) also scored for Queen's in the win.
Ante Zlomislic (Applied Science) had three assists in the win while
Derek Hamilton (Arts & Science) and
Sebbie Johnson (Arts & Science) each added a pair of helpers for the Gaels in the win.
Aidan Spooner (Business) made 28 saves for Queen's in the win.
The Gaels, who improved their record to 4-5-0 with the victory, will close out their weekend home stand hosting the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks Saturday at 7:30 PM at Memorial Centre.
